Jason Randolph
Founder; Head Director 2021-2022; Assistant Director 2023-2024
Jason, 19 years old, is a current college sophomore at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA, US. He founded BDESC in the spring of 2021 in his junior year of high school, directing its inaugural online run and the following year's in-person camp. After stepping down from his Head Director position, Jason has continued to aid the camp’s processes as an Assistant Director, helping with communication, set-up, and teaching coding lessons at the camp. Outside of BDESC, Jason enjoys computer science and basketball.
Kaitlyn Randolph
Assistant 2021; Assistant Director 2022; Head Director 2023-2024
Kaitlyn, 17 years old, is a current high school senior at Sunset High School in Portland, OR, US. She began her involvement as an Assistant during the 2021 run of the camp and worked her way up to act as the Head Director for the past two years. Kaitlyn’s main role is to organize the camp agenda, develop curriculum (slideshows and activities), and lead lessons during its run. She also communicates with the General Coordinator to help with camp set-up. Outside of BDESC, Kaitlyn enjoys Speech & Debate and journalism.

OUR STUDENT VOLUNTEERS
The students featured above (2024) take on essential roles as Team Leaders and Staff Members, ensuring each camp run goes smoothly. Team Leaders direct their assigned campers, guiding group activities and acting as liaisons between members and higher staff. Staff Members handle technical equipment, lunch delivery, photography, administration communications, and much more! All of our student volunteers are current Taiwanese high schoolers with an advanced mastery of English.
